In over the years the this type of motorsport event has a high demand from enthusiasts that follow it.  Events like The Burnouts Drag racing and Cruising the Track has gone to another level with all funds and efforts to build there pride and joy and attend automotive events.  The gwoth of the Buirnouts and and the other track activities have been setting records across Australia. Cars are built tougher and in some cases quicker in the drag racing scene. So with the next Supernats SA we want to put these New Breeds to the test and run a Team Call Out. How it works basically need 5 Cars to a team 

SUPER SKIDS

Super Skids

Super skids combine horsepower and driver skill. Without using the brakes, the aim is to spin the tyres for as long as possible down the main straight. Brakes are only to be used to steady the car, and not to continue the skid.   No passengers permitted in this event

 

Judging:

1) Instant smoke off the mark

2) Engine revs

3) Quality & Quantity length of smoke

4) No brake lights staying on. (Brakes can be used after Superskid is finished)

 5) Driver skills and style.

This will take place on the main straight.

OFF STREET RACING

Off-Street Racing 

 

Run What Ya Brung! (Flags Down)

It will be heads up street race over approximately 1/8th Mile.

Burnouts to warm tyres will not be permitted.

Standing start, flag drop to start the race.

You will race against whoever comes up next to at random

This event takes place on the main straight. The track will not be fully prepped, and no timing equipment will be used.

No passengers allowed.

Winners may return to the line-up and race again, time permitting.

Head Up Go To Whoa
Two entrant cars at a time in side by side take off from the start line and head for a double set of lines on the drag strip. When they reach the other end they have to come to a complete stop between the double lines. The car that gets to and stops between the lines the quickest wins!

This requires a combination of good acceleration, car control and braking.

 

CRUISING

Track Cruising will take place several times during the event. Heaps of Track Time!!

Passengers are allowed as long they are wearing long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes

All occupants in the vehicle must wear a seatbelt.

All passengers must fill out an indemnity form and wear a wristband. Photo identification may be required.

Passengers must be over 13 years of age, with a parent or legal guardian to sign the indemnity for persons under 18 years of age.

 

Family Track Cruise

Define: kids under 13 years old that is permitted into the cruise session with car travelling at no more than 40klms Family Track Cruising will two sessions each day throughout the weekend during the event.

Passengers are allowed as long they are wearing long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes

All occupants in the vehicle must wear a seat belt.

All passengers must fill out an indemnity form and wear a wristband. Photo identification may be required.

Passengers can be under 13 years of age, with a parent or legal guardian to sign the indemnity for persons under 18 years of age. The Speed Limit cannot be over 40 klms this is to ensure the safety of children. Only for families with kids permitted in these cruise sessions

 

No passenger may be seated in a vehicle where they may come into contact with an unpadded roll cage.

 

The cruise is not a competitive event.

  • No drifting

  • No static burnouts

  • No donuts.

  • Not too much smoke

  • No loss of control.

  • No slowing down or stopping on the circuit to bunch the field

  • If you break down, we will send assistance

  • Yellow flags or lights means slow down, hazard ahead.

  • Red lights mean the session is finished please leave the cruise session When the circuit is under red lights, slow down, drive safely and expect to see emergency vehicles on the circuit.

  • Top speed is 120kph.

  • We will have officials cruising that will be under cover watching and observing

DRIFTING

Drifting will be held at …..

NO static burnouts. Drivers are expected to stop and regain control after a spin and re-start safely.  If a competitor leaves the track. Care must be taken before re-joining the track. Flags will be used to control cars on the skid circuit.

Green = Enter the circuit or continue to drive.

Yellow = Caution a car has spun or is going slow. Slow down if approaching a spun car and do not drift around it. 

Red = End of session. Slow down well before coming into the exit lane at walking pace.

Black flag = There is a problem with 1 car and that 1 car must slow down and exit the skid circuit.

The black flag will be waived by the official and the official will point at the driver of that car with the other hand. Only that 1 car should exit. Other drivers are to be aware of a car exiting and slow down accordingly near that car and or the exit lane.

It is your responsibility to know where the flag point is, to observe the flag signals and act accordingly.

If a competitor’s car stops due to mechanical issues the driver is to remain in the vehicle except for a fire.

Helmets are required on the circuit at all times. Do not remove helmets until the vehicle is off the circuit and stationary.

Methanol fuelled cars are not permitted on the circuit. 

The officials are helping to make the day run as safe and smooth as possible for the entrants benefit. Be polite to officials and other entrants. 

SA vs ALL STATE BURNOUT CHALLENGE

Street Machine Burnout Party Supernats VIC vs ALL-STATES. 

Our First Challenge was held at Stawell Victoria.

 

The winner of the challenge was the The All State that the entrants that competed  walked away with 10 trophies.

After a great response we have decided to run the next challenge with

SA vs All State Burnout Challenge


10 SA cars VS 10 ALL-STATE car, winning state takes all!! 5 Blown and 5 N/A from both states. 

THIS IS A SMALL COMP INSIDE OF A FULL DAY OF SKIDS AT

MALLALA MOTORSPORT CLUB.

 

SUPER TRUCK SHOW INC CRUISING & BURNOUTS

Super Truck Show & Shine. This event has really started to grow since we introduced it back in 2014, it was the first time in Supernats History and proud to say first time in Australia's History they got to Drag Race down the 1/4 Mile strip officially fastest time clocking that we saw was 13.4. We give the big Riggs a fair and treat them equal as Motor enthusiast's. This year due to popular demand we have gotten permission for them to Cruise the Track at Sydney Motorsport park and also extended the category and now have more trophies for the BIG RIGGS. 

We are also happy to announce we have the opportunity to have The Riggs to do Burnout Demos cruise the Track and Have them On Show at Mallala Motorsport Park

 

 

 

BIKE SHOW

The Bike category at Supernats has always been popular and one of the main features  to the event.  This year due to popular demand we have the permission for them to Cruise the Track at Mallala Motorsport Park in addition we also extended the category and now have more trophies for the Bike Category.
